Description
Crispy bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers filled with creamy cheese, perfectly cooked in the air fryer for a healthier appetizer that’s ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 medium-sized fresh jalapeno peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 6 slices bacon strips, cut in half
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray as needed
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes.
- 2. Slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a spoon, wearing gloves if desired.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well blended.
- 4. Fill each jalapeno half generously with the cheese mixture, smoothing the top.
- 5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeno half with a half slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
- 6. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- 7. Place the bacon-wrapped poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each for air circulation.
- 8. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and the peppers are tender.
- 9. Remove carefully using tongs and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
- 10. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch dressing or sour cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes. Can be frozen for up to 2 months. For milder poppers, remove all seeds and membranes. Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
