Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers

  • Author: Angie
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 24 poppers 1x

Description

Crispy bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers filled with creamy cheese, perfectly cooked in the air fryer for a healthier appetizer that’s ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 medium-sized fresh jalapeno peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 6 slices bacon strips, cut in half
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray as needed

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-5 minutes.
  2. 2. Slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a spoon, wearing gloves if desired.
  3. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well blended.
  4. 4. Fill each jalapeno half generously with the cheese mixture, smoothing the top.
  5. 5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeno half with a half slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
  6. 6. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  7. 7. Place the bacon-wrapped poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each for air circulation.
  8. 8. Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and the peppers are tender.
  9. 9. Remove carefully using tongs and let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  10. 10. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce such as ranch dressing or sour cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes. Can be frozen for up to 2 months. For milder poppers, remove all seeds and membranes. Work in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
