  • 1 cup chopped almonds (slivered or sliced)
  • 1 cup dried cherries (or fresh, chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Pour in the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped almonds and cherries gently.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
