- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 2 cups rhubarb, chopped
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Toss apples and rhubarb with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread in greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit.
- Bake 40–45 minutes until fruit bubbles and topping is golden. Let cool 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
