Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups rhubarb, chopped
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Toss apples and rhubarb with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread in greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit.
  3. Bake 40–45 minutes until fruit bubbles and topping is golden. Let cool 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
