- 6 cups bread, cubed (day-old works best)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups milk
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Optional: ½ cup berries or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare muffin tin with grease or liners. Whisk eggs, milk, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Toss bread cubes in the custard and soak 5–10 minutes.
- Spoon soaked bread mixture into muffin cups, add optional mix-ins, and drizzle melted butter on top.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and set. Cool slightly, then serve warm with syrup or powdered sugar.

- Use any type of bread, like brioche, challah, or cinnamon swirl.
