Description

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ⅓ cup melted butter (or oil)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips, nuts, or cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash bananas, stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients separately and fold into wet. Add optional mix-ins.
  3. Pour batter into pan and bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  4. Slice and serve. Enjoy plain, with butter, or toasted.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, use overripe bananas. Whole wheat flour can replace all-purpose for a healthier loaf. Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
