- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup melted butter (or oil)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips, nuts, or cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas, stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients separately and fold into wet. Add optional mix-ins.
- Pour batter into pan and bake 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Slice and serve. Enjoy plain, with butter, or toasted.
Notes
- For extra moisture, use overripe bananas. Whole wheat flour can replace all-purpose for a healthier loaf. Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
