Delightful puff pastry filled with creamy cream cheese and fresh blueberries, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of frozen puff pastry (2 sheets, thawed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

  • Lemon zest (optional, for extra zing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut into 4×4 inch squares.
  3. Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth.
  4. Add the fresh blueberries into the cream cheese mixture gently.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese and blueberry mix into each pastry square’s center.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry square over the filling and pinch seams to seal.
  7. Arrange pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar and optional lemon zest before serving.

Notes

Avoid overfilling the pastries to prevent messy baking. Properly seal edges to avoid leaks.
