Description

A cheesy, easy, and family-friendly pasta bake featuring bowtie pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, and marinara sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta, cooked al dente
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese, part-skim or whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil or parsley, chopped
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil bowtie pasta until al dente, drain, and toss with olive oil. Heat marinara sauce with garlic and red pepper flakes.
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Layer half of the pasta, half the ricotta, and half the mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat layers and finish with sauce and remaining cheeses.
  3. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let rest 5 minutes before serving and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.

Notes

  • Can be made vegetarian by skipping meat or adding vegetables.
  • Freezes well for up to 2–3 months.
