Description

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional protein: tofu, chicken, or beef, cut into bite-size pieces
  • Optional topping: sesame seeds, sliced green onions, or chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing and slicing the cabbage into thin strips.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stir for about 30 seconds.
  5. Toss in the sliced cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot, stirring for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Drizzle in the soy sauce and sesame oil during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Once everything is nicely combined, remove from heat and serve immediately.
