Description

A quick and easy homemade stir-fry with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a savory sauce perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced thin
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 12 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1 tbsp cornstarch for a few minutes.
  2. Heat 1–2 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet or wok; cook chicken 3–4 minutes until browned, then remove.
  3. Add broccoli with a splash of water; cover 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp. Return chicken.
  4. Mix chicken broth, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, brown sugar; pour into skillet. Stir and simmer 1–2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Drizzle sesame oil, serve over rice or noodles, and enjoy.

Tips:

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan; adjust broccoli texture; add extra veggies or sauces as desired.
