Ingredients
Fresh ginger (sliced)
Turmeric (fresh or ground, depending on version)
Cinnamon (stick)
Mint leaves (fresh)
Pineapple (chopped)
Lemon verbena tea bag
Water
Optional: Apple cider vinegar, honey, lemon slice
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine water with the following:
Ginger (sliced)
Turmeric (fresh or ground)
Cinnamon stick
Mint leaves
Pineapple pieces
Lemon verbena tea bag
Bring the mixture to a low simmer.
Remove from heat, cover the pot, and let it steep for about 10 minutes.
Strain into a mug.
Add optional ingredients: apple cider vinegar, a slice of lemon, or honey to taste.
Serve warm, or chill and pour over ice for a refreshing iced version.
