Cottage Cheese Pasta Sauce

This Cottage Cheese Pasta Sauce is creamy, protein-packed, and easy to make. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or a lighter alternative to traditional creamy sauces.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cottage cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup milk or pasta water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • Optional: ¼ tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prepare garlic, Parmesan, and optional vegetables. Drain cottage cheese.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic, stir in cottage cheese and milk, whisk until smooth, add Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss cooked pasta in sauce until evenly coated. Serve hot with optional toppings.

Notes

  • Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
