An addictively delicious casserole featuring tender chicken, crispy bacon, creamy ranch filling, and golden tater tots topped with melted cheese.

- 3 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch dressing mix
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 32 ounces frozen tater tots
- 4 green onions, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch dressing mix until smooth.
- 3. Fold in diced chicken, most of the crumbled bacon (reserve some for topping), and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
- 4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- 5. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture, packing them closely together.
- 6. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the tater tots, then top with reserved bacon crumbles.
- 7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- 8. Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes until tater tots are golden and crispy.
- 9. Let rest for 5-10 minutes, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in oven at 350°F until warmed through. Can be assembled 24 hours ahead and refrigerated before baking.
