- 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: cooked chicken, mushrooms, spinach
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente, reserving 1 cup pasta water. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer 8–10 minutes.
- Slowly stir in heavy cream and combine with pasta. Add pasta water if needed for consistency. Sprinkle Parmesan and stir until melted. Serve hot.

- For added protein, include cooked chicken or turkey sausage.
- To make dairy-free, substitute heavy cream with cashew or coconut cream and Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
