A simple, crowd-pleasing appetizer of bite-sized smokies cooked in a buttery, slightly sweet, and tangy sauce. Perfect for game days, parties, or casual family snacks.

For the Smokies:

  • 2 lb Lit’l Smokies (beef or turkey)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Seasonings:

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

For Garnish:

  • 12 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Toothpicks for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the smokies in the Crock Pot in an even layer.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well and pour the sauce over the smokies, coating each piece evenly.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2–3 hours or high for 1–1.5 hours, stirring once or twice. The sauce will thicken slightly as it cooks. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm with toothpicks.
