Description

A tender and juicy turkey breast cooked slowly in a crockpot, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 boneless turkey breast, 3 to 4 lbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups turkey or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: vegetables like carrots and potatoes for added flavor
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your turkey breast. Pat it dry with paper towels and rub it with olive oil.
  2. Season the turkey breast liberally with salt, pepper, and dried herbs.
  3. Layer the chopped onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the crockpot.
  4. Add diced carrots and potatoes around the turkey breast if using.
  5. Pour the broth carefully into the crockpot, immersing the turkey halfway.
  6. Cover the crockpot and set to low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours.
  7. When done, the turkey should be fork-tender; let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve garnished with fresh herbs and a drizzle of cooking juices.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, consider using skinless turkey breast or low-sodium broth.
