Description

Delicate rolls filled with crisp cucumber and velvety cream cheese, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices of white or whole wheat bread, crusts removed
  • 1 cup of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill or chives, chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional additions: Smoked salmon, turkey slices, or avocado

Instructions

  1. Start by laying out your slices of bread on a clean cutting board.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with the lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Take about two tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture and spread it evenly across each slice of flattened bread.
  4. Layer slices of cucumber on top of the cream cheese.
  5. Carefully roll up each slice of bread, starting from one edge and rolling to the other side.
  6. After rolling, slice each log into bite-sized pieces.

Notes

For a lighter version, use low-fat cream cheese. To make it vegetarian or vegan, substitute with a plant-based alternative.
