- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz for batter, 2 oz for topping)
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- Optional chocolate drizzle: 2 oz melted chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Combine melted butter and 6 oz chocolate chips until smooth. Mix in sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into the pan, layer strawberries, and cover with remaining batter.
- Bake 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.
- Drizzle remaining chocolate on top and chill 30 minutes before slicing.
