Description

A festive holiday appetizer featuring creamy deviled eggs transformed into charming Christmas trees with simple pantry ingredients and fun decorations.


Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper
  • 23 drops green food coloring (optional)
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chives or parsley
  • 12 cherry tomatoes or small bell pepper pieces (for toppers)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan or shredded white cheddar
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Halve eggs lengthwise and trim bottoms if needed to stand upright.
  2. Mash yolks in a bowl, mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper, and optional green coloring.
  3. Pipe filling into egg whites in a pointed zigzag pattern to form tree shapes.
  4. Top with cherry tomatoes, bell pepper pieces, or parsley; sprinkle Parmesan or cheddar for “snow.”
  5. Arrange on a platter and serve chilled.
