Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Wooden sticks
  • Optional toppings: nuts, sprinkles, crushed cookies

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly; insert wooden sticks.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and combine with brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir over medium heat until smooth and slightly bubbling.
  3. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and salt. Dip apples into caramel, let excess drip, and add toppings.
  4. Place apples on parchment and let set 15–30 minutes before serving.
