Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed and cut
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup French fried onions (½ cup for mixing, ½ cup for topping)
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Blanch green beans if using fresh, then drain.
  2. In a bowl, mix soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, and half of the fried onions. Fold in cheddar if using.
  3. Combine green beans and creamy mixture in a greased baking dish. Top with remaining fried onions and bake 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
