Delicious breakfast sandwiches featuring fluffy maple-infused pancakes, savory sausage patties, melted cheese, and perfectly cooked eggs. Better than fast food and easy to make at home!
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup plus extra for drizzling
- 8 breakfast sausage patties
- 8 slices American cheese
- 8 large eggs for sandwich filling
- Cooking spray as needed
Instructions
- 1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- 2. In a separate bowl, combine milk, 2 eggs, melted butter, and 1/4 cup maple syrup.
- 3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Don’t overmix.
- 4. Heat griddle to medium heat and spray with cooking spray.
- 5. Drizzle small amounts of maple syrup in circular patterns on the griddle.
- 6. Pour 1/3 cup batter over each syrup pattern and cook until bubbles form, about 2-3 minutes.
- 7. Flip pancakes and cook another 2 minutes until golden brown. Repeat to make 16 pancakes.
- 8. Cook sausage patties according to package directions until fully cooked.
- 9. Cook remaining 8 eggs to your preference, seasoned with salt and pepper.
- 10. To assemble, place one pancake maple-side up, add cheese slice, sausage patty, cooked egg, and top with another pancake maple-side down.
- 11. Press gently and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Store assembled sandwiches wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in microwave for 60-90 seconds if refrigerated, or 2-3 minutes if frozen. For best texture, reheat in oven at 350°F.
