Description

Cheesy, creamy potato casserole topped with crispy golden onions. Perfect for family dinners, potlucks, and holidays.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups shredded potatoes (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: diced onions, bell peppers, cooked turkey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix shredded potatoes, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and optional mix-ins.
  2. Fold in cheddar cheese, season with salt and pepper. Transfer mixture to greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Top with crispy fried onions mixed with melted butter. Bake 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Cool slightly before serving.
