Description

Rich, fudgy, and filled with melty chocolate chunks, this cake is a chocolate lover’s dream. Perfect for parties, birthdays, or cozy indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks or chips
  • Optional: ½ cup mini marshmallows or caramel bits
  • Optional topping: 2 tbsp powdered sugar, ¼ cup extra chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl; whisk wet ingredients in another.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently.
  4. Fold in chocolate chunks and optional add-ins.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes until edges are firm and center is slightly soft.
  7. Cool 10–15 minutes before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar or garnish with chocolate chips if desired.

Tips: Avoid overbaking for a gooey center; try swirl-ins like peanut butter, caramel, or berries.

Storage: Refrigerate up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months. Reheat slices in oven for best results.
