- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup jam (strawberry, raspberry, apricot)
- Powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugars, add egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until dough forms.
- Roll dough, cut heart shapes, and cut a smaller heart in half the cookies.
- Fill solid cookies with jam, top with cut-out cookies, seal edges, bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes. Cool and dust with powdered sugar.
