- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Optional: powdered sugar, sprinkles, or melted chocolate for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugars, add eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually fold in dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
- Chill dough 30–60 minutes.
- Roll dough and cut into heart shapes.
- Bake 12–14 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool, decorate as desired, and serve.
