Description

A cheesy, hearty, and family-friendly casserole made with ground beef, potatoes, vegetables, and melted cheddar cheese. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef with salt, pepper, and paprika; drain fat.
  2. Sauté onions, garlic, carrots, and peas in butter until tender.
  3. Layer potatoes, beef, vegetables, and cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat layers. Pour milk evenly over the layers.
  4. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes.
