- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Brown ground beef with salt, pepper, and paprika; drain fat.
- Sauté onions, garlic, carrots, and peas in butter until tender.
- Layer potatoes, beef, vegetables, and cheese in a greased baking dish. Repeat layers. Pour milk evenly over the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let rest 5 minutes.
