Description

Golden, cheesy, and flavorful homemade pizza pockets perfect for snacks, lunches, or dinner. Customizable fillings make them ideal for kids and adults alike.


Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • Optional toppings: pepperoni, cooked chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing)
  • 12 tsp Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm water with sugar, then mix with flour, salt, and olive oil to form dough. Knead 8–10 minutes and let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Punch down dough and divide into 8–10 portions. Roll into circles about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Spoon tomato sauce and mozzarella into each circle. Add optional toppings and seasonings.
  4. Fold dough over filling, seal edges with a fork, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle Parmesan if desired.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
