Vibrant Thai Sweet Chili Sauce made at home with simple ingredients. Perfect for dipping, glazing, or drizzling over meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 12 tsp red chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, rice vinegar, water, garlic, and chili flakes in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Let simmer for 5–7 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water, then stir into the sauce to thicken. Adjust spice or sweetness if needed.
  3. Remove from heat, cool slightly, and transfer to a jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Notes

  • Adjust chili flakes for desired heat level.
