Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup milk (optional)
  • ½ cup colorful sprinkles
  • Optional: lemon or orange zest, almond extract, glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, beat in eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk if needed.
  2. Scoop dough into 1-tablespoon balls, slightly flatten, and roll in sprinkles.
  3. Bake for 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Optional: drizzle glaze.
