Description

Soft, cheesy Italian Pinwheels filled with tomato sauce, mozzarella, turkey ham, and fresh herbs. Perfect for parties, snacks, or lunchboxes.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • 4 oz turkey ham, sliced thin
  • 68 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tsp olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm water with sugar; let foam. Mix with flour, salt, and olive oil; knead 8–10 minutes. Let dough rise 1 hour.
  2. Roll dough into 12×10-inch rectangle. Spread tomato sauce, cheese, turkey ham, basil, and seasoning. Roll tightly and cut into 1-inch spirals.
  3. Place on parchment-lined sheet, brush tops with olive oil. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.
