Ingredients
1 cup fresh lemon balm leaves (or 1 tablespoon dried)
2 cups boiling water
1 teaspoon raw honey (optional)
1 slice of lemon or a sprig of mint (optional)
Instructions
Rinse & Prep: Wash fresh lemon balm leaves and pat dry.
Bruise the Leaves: Gently crush leaves to release natural oils.
Steep: Place leaves in a teapot or mug, pour boiling water over them, cover, and steep for 5–7 minutes.
Strain & Serve: Remove leaves, stir in honey if desired, and add lemon slice or mint sprig.
Optional: Serve hot, or chill and pour over ice for a refreshing iced tea variation.
Notes
Fresh leaves provide a bright, citrusy flavor; dried leaves offer a deeper taste.
Drinking 1–3 cups per day is generally safe for adults.
Avoid extremely hot water to preserve delicate flavor.
