- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Flatten chicken breasts to 1/2 inch and season with salt and pepper.
- Set up dredging station: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumb-Romano mixture. Coat chicken evenly.
- Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
- Remove from pan, drain briefly, then finish with fresh lemon juice and extra Romano if desired.

- Chicken thighs can replace breasts for richer flavor
