Description

Lemon Chicken Romano is crispy, golden chicken coated with Romano cheese and breadcrumbs, finished with a bright squeeze of fresh lemon. Quick, flavorful, and perfect for family dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Flatten chicken breasts to 1/2 inch and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Set up dredging station: flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumb-Romano mixture. Coat chicken evenly.
  3. Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
  4. Remove from pan, drain briefly, then finish with fresh lemon juice and extra Romano if desired.

Notes

  • Use panko for extra crunch
  • Chicken thighs can replace breasts for richer flavor
