- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 small jalapeño, finely diced (optional)
Instructions
- Cut cheeses into small pieces.
- Melt butter over low heat in a medium saucepan, add garlic, and cook until soft.
- Add milk and cream, warming gently.
- Stir in cheeses a handful at a time until melted and smooth.
- Mix in green chiles, spices, and optional jalapeño. Adjust thickness with milk if needed.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips or preferred dippers.
