Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar + extra for rolling
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Beat butter and 1 cup powdered sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla and milk. Fold in flour and salt.
  2. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 12–15 minutes.
  3. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Cool on wire rack.
