Description

Cozy individual pies filled with seasoned meat, vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes. Perfect for family dinners, meal prep, or casual gatherings.

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb (lean)
  • 1 cup diced carrots (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup peas (frozen is fine)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ cup beef or chicken broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 4 tbsp butter (for mashed potatoes)
  • ½ cup milk (for creamy mashed potatoes)
  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and chopped (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing vegetables)
  • Optional: shredded cheese or fresh herbs for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook the Filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until soft. Add ground beef or lamb and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, broth, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  2. Prepare Mashed Potatoes: Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain and mash with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble and Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spoon meat filling into muffin tins or ramekins. Top with mashed potatoes and smooth or create small peaks. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
