Description

Golden, caramelized mustard Hasselback kielbasa bites that are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, perfect for snacks, appetizers, or family gatherings


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, chicken, or turkey kielbasa, sliced Hasselback-style
  • 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil or melted butter (optional for crispiness)
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the kielbasa thinly Hasselback-style, making 1/4-inch cuts without slicing all the way through.
  3. In a small bowl, mix Dijon mustard, honey or maple syrup, garlic powder, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  4. Brush the mustard glaze generously into each slice and over the top of the kielbasa.
  5. Optional: Sprinkle smoked paprika over the bites for extra flavor.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through, until edges are golden brown and the glaze has caramelized.
  7. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm with optional dipping sauces.
