- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup creamy almond or peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Begin by grabbing a mixing bowl. Combine the rolled oats, honey (or maple syrup), almond butter, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Once your mixture is combined, you can add a pinch of salt and the chocolate chips, stirring gently to distribute them evenly.
- Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later. Pour the oat mixture into the dish and press it down firmly with a spatula.
- Place the dish in the refrigerator and let it chill for about 30 minutes.
- Once chilled, remove from the fridge and lift out the bars using the parchment overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles.
- Enjoy immediately or store them for later!
