- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1 cup cooked protein (chicken, shrimp, or turkey sausage)
- Optional: 1 cup vegetables (spinach, cherry tomatoes, or peas)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté garlic for 30–60 seconds. Add pasta and 4 cups water or broth, then cook 10–12 minutes until tender.
- Lower heat and stir in pesto, cream, and parmesan gradually, stirring to create a smooth, creamy sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fold in optional protein and vegetables, stir gently until heated through, and serve immediately with extra parmesan if desired.
Notes
- Adjust cream or milk to achieve desired sauce thickness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
