  • Author: Angie
  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes (including chilling time)
  • Yield: 15-20 bars

Description

Nostalgic no-bake dessert bars featuring a graham cracker crust, creamy orange-vanilla filling, and fluffy whipped cream topping that tastes just like the classic frozen treat.

Ingredients

  • Graham cracker crumbs – 2 cups
  • Unsalted butter, melted – 1/2 cup
  • Granulated sugar (for crust) – 1/4 cup
  • Cream cheese, softened – 16 oz
  • Sweetened condensed milk – 14 oz
  • Orange juice concentrate, thawed – 1/2 cup
  • Orange zest – 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla extract – 2 teaspoons
  • Heavy whipping cream – 1 cup
  • Powdered sugar – 1/3 cup
  • Orange food coloring (optional) – Few drops

Instructions

  1. 1. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. 2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a bowl, mixing until mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. 3. Press the crust mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan, using a measuring cup to compact it.
  4. 4. Refrigerate the crust for 15 minutes while preparing the filling.
  5. 5. Beat softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk, beating until fully incorporated and creamy.
  7. 7. Mix in orange juice concentrate, orange zest, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  8. 8. Add orange food coloring if desired, mixing until color is evenly distributed.
  9. 9. Pour the orange filling over the chilled crust and spread evenly to the edges.
  10. 10. In a separate chilled bowl, beat heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  11. 11. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the orange layer in your desired pattern.
  12. 12. Cover loosely and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
  13. 13. Cut into bars using a hot, clean knife for neat edges and serve chilled.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months without whipped cream topping. Add whipped cream after thawing for best results. Let bars sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving for optimal flavor and texture.
