Description

Crispy, cheesy, and golden Parmesan Onion Rings made at home with simple ingredients. Perfect as a side dish or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet onions, sliced into ½-inch rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice onions and separate rings. Pat dry.
  2. Prepare bowls: seasoned flour, egg-milk-Parmesan mixture, breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge onion rings: flour → egg-Parmesan → breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry in 350°F (175°C) oil 2–3 mins per side until golden. Or bake at 425°F (220°C) 15–20 mins, flipping halfway. Air-fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 mins.
  5. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauces. Sprinkle extra Parmesan or parsley if desired.
