Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lb chicken wings (whole or separated drumettes/flats)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust for desired heat)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, to thicken glaze)
  • 12 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Toothpicks for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken wings dry and arrange on a baking sheet or in an air fryer basket. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened; optionally add cornstarch slurry for a thicker glaze.
  3. Cook wings:
Baking: 400°F (200°C) for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway; brush wings with glaze during the last 10 minutes.
Air fryer: 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, shake basket halfway; coat with glaze during the last 5 minutes.
  4. Serve hot, drizzle with remaining glaze, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and use toothpicks for easy serving.
