Description

Pizza Grilled Cheese combines golden toasted bread, melty mozzarella, tangy tomato sauce, and optional toppings for a quick, cheesy comfort meal. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a cozy snack.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Optional toppings: ¼ cup mushrooms, ¼ cup bell peppers, ¼ cup turkey pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place one slice butter-side down on a skillet. Layer ½ cup mozzarella, ¼ cup tomato sauce, and optional toppings. Top with second slice, butter-side up.
  2. Cook over medium heat 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted. Press gently with spatula.
  3. Remove from skillet, let cool 1 minute, slice diagonally, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Assemble ahead but cook just before serving for best results.
  • Add fresh basil or oregano for extra flavor.
