  • 4 chicken breasts or thighs (~1.5 lbs)
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or chives (garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Set up dredging station: flour, eggs, crushed pretzels. Coat chicken: flour → eggs → pretzels.
  3. Place on greased baking sheet; bake 20–25 minutes until golden and 165°F internally.
  4. Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan. Add heavy cream, Dijon & yellow mustard, garlic powder. Stir over medium heat.
  5. Add cheddar cheese, whisk until smooth. Remove from heat.
  6. Serve chicken drizzled with sauce; garnish with parsley or chives. Pair with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
