- 4 chicken breasts or thighs (~1.5 lbs)
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley or chives (garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Set up dredging station: flour, eggs, crushed pretzels. Coat chicken: flour → eggs → pretzels.
- Place on greased baking sheet; bake 20–25 minutes until golden and 165°F internally.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a saucepan. Add heavy cream, Dijon & yellow mustard, garlic powder. Stir over medium heat.
- Add cheddar cheese, whisk until smooth. Remove from heat.
- Serve chicken drizzled with sauce; garnish with parsley or chives. Pair with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
