- 3 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 6–8 soft buns
- Optional toppings: pickles, lettuce, mild slaw
Instructions
- Place onions and garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker or Dutch oven.
- Add beef chuck roast on top.
- Mix broth and tomato paste; pour over the beef.
- Add brown sugar, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Cook on low 7–8 hours or until beef shreds easily.
- Remove beef, shred with two forks, and return to juices.
- Toast buns lightly.
- Build your pulled beef sandwich with toppings you enjoy.
