Red Velvet Brownie Layer

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and food coloring.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until smooth. Spread most of the batter into the pan, reserving a little for swirling.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy.
  5. Pour cheesecake mixture over the brownie base.
  6. Add spoonfuls of the remaining red velvet batter and swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake 28–32 minutes until edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
  8. Cool fully before slicing.
