Red Velvet Brownie Layer
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
Cheesecake Layer
- 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and food coloring.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until smooth. Spread most of the batter into the pan, reserving a little for swirling.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until creamy.
- Pour cheesecake mixture over the brownie base.
- Add spoonfuls of the remaining red velvet batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake 28–32 minutes until edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
- Cool fully before slicing.
