Description

Decadent layered dessert bars featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, rich chocolate center, and golden-toasted marshmallow topping that captures all the classic campfire s’more flavors in convenient bar form.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides.
  2. 2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl until mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. 3. Press crumb mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of prepared pan.
  4. 4. Bake crust for 10 minutes until lightly golden and fragrant, then remove from oven.
  5. 5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  6. 6. Stir vanilla extract into melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
  7. 7. Pour chocolate mixture over the baked crust, spreading evenly to all edges with a spatula.
  8. 8. Return pan to oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until chocolate is set around edges but slightly soft in center.
  9. 9. Remove from oven and immediately distribute mini marshmallows evenly across the chocolate layer, packing them tightly together.
  10. 10. Switch oven to broil on high, position rack 6 inches from heating element, and broil bars for 1-3 minutes, watching constantly until marshmallows are golden brown with some darker spots.
  11. 11. Remove from oven and let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting.
  12. 12. Use parchment overhang to lift bars from pan, cut into 24 squares with a sharp knife cleaned between cuts.

Notes

Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week. Bars can be frozen for up to 3 months wrapped individually in plastic wrap. For cleanest cuts, run knife under hot water and dry between slices.
