Description

Tender green beans smothered in a creamy, spicy Cajun sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or festive meals. Easy to make with simple ingredients and bursting with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp butter or ghee
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: grated Parmesan, cooked turkey beef, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Trim and blanch green beans for 2–3 minutes. Drain.
  2. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic in butter until soft.
  3. Add Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat.
  4. Combine green beans with sautéed vegetables and pour in broth. Simmer 10–12 minutes.
  5. Stir in cream and optional ingredients. Cook 2–3 more minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Serve warm as a flavorful side dish.

Storage: Refrigerate in an airtight container for 3–4 days; reheat gently before serving.
