Description

Softbatch Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies are thick, tender, and chewy. This beginner-friendly recipe uses simple pantry ingredients to create bakery-style cookies at home that stay soft for days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add sugars, egg, and vanilla, mixing until glossy.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Scoop dough onto baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers slightly soft. Let cool on tray.

Notes

  • For thicker cookies, chill dough 30 minutes before baking. Add nuts or extra chocolate chips for variations.
