- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions and garlic until browned.
- In a large bowl, combine beef mixture, noodles, sour cream, soup, and 1 cup of cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Serve hot.
Notes
- Can freeze before baking for up to 3 months.
- Add 5–10 extra minutes to baking time if reheating from frozen.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a little paprika or parsley on top before baking.
- Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
