Description

A creamy, cheesy, and comforting casserole featuring tender noodles, savory beef, and rich sour cream, perfect for family dinners or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions and garlic until browned.
  4. In a large bowl, combine beef mixture, noodles, sour cream, soup, and 1 cup of cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and bread crumbs.
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Serve hot.

Notes

  1. Can freeze before baking for up to 3 months.
  2. Add 5–10 extra minutes to baking time if reheating from frozen.
  3. For extra flavor, sprinkle a little paprika or parsley on top before baking.
  4. Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
