Description

Sourdough Cheesecake Brownies combine fudgy chocolate, creamy cheesecake, and a subtle tang from sourdough starter for a rich, decadent dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper. Prepare brownie base by combining melted butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and cocoa powder.
  2. Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, sourdough starter, and vanilla until smooth. Pour over brownie base.
  3. Swirl cheesecake mixture gently into the brownie base. Bake 35–40 minutes, cool completely, then chill for at least 1 hour before slicing.

Notes

  • Substitute Greek yogurt for cream cheese for lighter texture.
  • Add chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture.
